The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose expresses pronounced aromas of roast meat, smoke and roasted bouquet garni. The second nose expresses more fruity and spicy aromas: roasted red cherry, morello cherry, crushed strawberry, raspberry coulis, crushed blackcurrant and blueberry, associated with notes of ground white pepper, nutmeg, cloves, toasted vanilla and licorice. We also find floral touches of violet, dried cornflower and iris, with a fine hint of coffee in the background. The palate is precise, straight and offers juiciness and freshness. It expresses notes of fresh blueberry, blackcurrant, juicy morello cherry, blackberry, roasted red cherry, as well as smoke, heated wood (in the background) and sweet spices (clove, coriander seeds, licorice). We also find fine touches of ground coffee, dried flowers (cornflower and wildflowers) and fresh tobacco in the background. The tannins are structured, young, a bit grippy, but enveloped thanks to a nice concentration and the fruity substance of the wine. A beautiful acidity and a delicate bitterness bring freshness to the wine. Nice persistence on the palate with notes of sweet spices.
