Château Le Gay 2020 – Pomerol

Château Le Gay 2020 – Pomerol

The nose is fresh, fruity with elegance, intensity in the freshness. It has a nice grain and fullness. Has notes of bright cassis pulp, graphite, fresh violets and small notes of wild blackberries as well as hints of timut pepper and a subtle hint of spice. The mouth is fruity with a fresh structure on the minerality. There is delicacy in the density, tension and some airiness. We find notes of juicy and pulpy blackberries, pulpy blackcurrant and slight hints of small pulpy red berries associated with touches of cherry blossom, violet, cardamom as well as fine hints of sweet spices. The tannins are precise and finely firm. There is a nice freshness and subtlety for this wine which has a good length.
