Château Laurette 2016 – Sainte-Croix-du-Mont

The nose is relatively fruity and offers freshness as well as concentration. The wine needs to be put in carafe. It reveals notes of lemon zest, yuzu and small notes of leather, green apple associated with touches of beeswax, botrytis and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers tension, a fine aerial side, a fine unctuosity, a fine richness as well as a fresh frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of crystallized lemon, green apple, crushed peach and small notes of pineapple in syrup combined with a touch of crushed kumquat, honey as well as a hint of botrytis and an imperceptible hint of almond (in the background). Good length and good persistence.
