Château Latour 2017 – Pomerol

Château Latour 2017 – Pomerol

The nose is aromatic, elegant, precise and offers a beautiful definition/expression, a fine intensity as well as a small power/concentration. It reveals notes of blackberry, blueberry and more slightly crushed Gariguette strawberry associated with small touches of cornflower/iris, vanilla, liquoric as well as discreet touches of Cuben pepper and small touches of sweet spices/vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly tight and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful delicay, gourmandize, a beautiful material/expression, power (but all in finesse), a small suavity, tension as well as a beautiful fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, crushed cassis, blueberry and more slightly fleshy strawberry associated with small touches of almond, vanilla, sweet spices as well as discreet hints of iris (in the background) and Sichuan pepper. Tannins are very fine and very slightly firm. Fine chews and fine power on the finish. Beautiful persistence. There is a hint of crushed nut/almond and a very discreet hint of caramelization on the persistence. This wine is racy and elegant. Beautiful success!
