Château Lascombes 2010 – Margaux, Cru Classé

The nose is fine, elegant, precise, aromatic and offers a beautiful power (full of freshness) and concentration. It reveals notes of quite ripe blackberry, raspberry and small notes of violet, lily associated with touches of small ripe/fresh wild black fruits as well as hints of saffron, Sichuan pepper, discreet hints of green cardamom, a subtle hint of mushroom and cigar (in the background). The palate is fruity, fresh, well-balanced and offers a fine acidulous frame, power/matter but full of finesse/control, minerality, a fresh fram, fat and a beautiful freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, fresh raspberry and small notes of ripe/fresh cherry associated with touches of violet, lily as well as hints of sweet spices, cardamom, toasted and a very discreet hint of cigar. A fresh, fruity, complete, full of control wine. Tannins are precise, structuring and finely chewy. A fine soft in the persistence.
