The nose is fruity and offers elegance, power and straightness. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of blackberry, ripe red berries and more slightly racy minerality combined with fine touches of grey pepper, bergamot and discreet hints of fresh cherry, fresh lily, vanilla/muscade and an imperceptible almost sappy edge (in the background). The palate is mineral and offers fruit, juiciness, freshness and roundness. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, raspberry and slightly fleshy cherry notes combined with hints of fresh lily, fresh violet, racy minerality as well as fine hints of liquorice, sweet blond tobacco, vanilla, sap (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of almost chocolate. The tannins are well-managed and smooth.
