Château Laniote 2015 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

Château Laniote 2015 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, powerful, straight and quite intense. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, cassis and small notes of strawberry jam associated with hints of chocolate, spices (Sichuan pepper, licorice…), violet as well as slight woody hints. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight mineral frame, a beautiful suavity, straightness, elegance, tension as well as gourmandise. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, crème de cassis and slight notes of juicy/fresh raspberry associated with a hint of black cherry, licorice as well as beautiful notes of chocolate, woody notes and a subtle hint of Ceylan tea (in the backrgound). Tannins are fine, firm and young. Good length and very beautiful persistence. There is a subtle hint of Sichuan pepper and cacao on the persistence.
