Château Langoa-Barton 2016 – Saint-Julien, Cru Classé

The nose is elegant and offers a very fine concentration. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of fleshy cassis, fleshy/ripe cherry and more slightly ripe/crushed red berries, hints of chocolate, spices, Bourbon vanilla and mint. The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity, well-balanced, racy, silky and offers a good definition, a fine juicy frame, elegance, a beautiful finesse of the grain, a beautiful suavity/juiciness, a fine deepness as well as a beautiful juicy/acidulous fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, red brries and more slightly cassis associated with fine touches of chocolate, liquorice as well as a very discreet hint of flower, ripe almond and mint on the finish/persistence. Tannins are well-built.
