Château Lamothe-Bergeron 2019 – Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The nose is fruity, very finely tight and offers a small concentration, a fine deepness as well as a small controlled power. It reveals notes of wild cassis, crushed blackberry, small notes of wild raspberry associated with fine touches of violet, ripe hazelnut, tonka bean as well as very discreet hints of spices and a discreet hint of coffee bean (in the background). The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced, finely creamy, very finely tight and offers a good definition, finesse, a fine acidulous frame, juiciness, tension (in finesse) as well as a beautiful gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, creamy cassis, small notes of fresh/ripe raspberry associated with small touches of tonka bean, chocolate, caramelized hazelnut, lily as well as a subtle hint of iris, toasted, nutmeg vanilla, crushed almond and an imperceptible hint of coffee (in the background). Tannins are elegant and well-built. Good length.
