Château Lagrange 2020 – Pomerol

On the nose it is fruity it  offers intensity, a power in control / airy power, a nice grain as well as an airy side. It reveals the notes of wild blackberry, crushed wild strawberry and more lightly violet associated with hints of bright small black fruits, peony as well as fine hints of blueberry, vanilla and a discreet touch of pepper. On the mouth it is fruity, balanced, stretched and it offers juiciness, gourmandize, mellow, a certain richness, a little compactness in its richness, tension, a mineral frame, fleshy, as well as a certain creaminess. The wine express the notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed cassis and raspberry associated with fleshy blue plum, crushed redcurrant, cornflower, fine hints of licorice, chocolate, roasted almond, discrete hints of mocha, a subtle hint of black tea as well as an imperceptible hint of varietal and bitter chocolate/cocoa. The tannins are precise and mellow. Beautifully gourmandize at the end of the palate. A little mellow on the finish. Nice persistence.
