The nose is fruity, fine, fresh, powerful, elegant and racy. It reveals notes of blackberries, cassis, gravel minerality (terroir), crushed strawberry and fine notes of wild berries associated with hints of blueberry, fig, dried flowers (blueberry, rose) as well as fine notes spices, wood, roasting, a discreet hint of Sichuan pepper and a discreet note of menthol licorice. The palate is fruity, elegant, mineral, well defined, racy and offers a beautiful matter, a small fat, a good volume and suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis, juicy plum and red fruit (berries, raspberry) associated with fine touches of fig, toasted oak, roasted cocoa as well as slight notes of sweet spices (cinnamon …) and a (very) discreet / imperceptible hint of vanilla. Tannins are fine, elegant and structuring. Good length and aromatic persistence. There are fine notes of iodine / saline minerality on the finish. The persistence is suave. Beautiful suavity and gourmandise !
