Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2019 – Sauternes Premier Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, elegant, intense and racy. It reveals notes of candied zests, candied lemon, small notes of quince associated small touches of kumquat, fresh peach as well as fine hints of mandarine flowers, bee wax and a discreet hint of almond (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, mineral and offers a good definition, juiciness, freshness as well as gourmandize, a fine unctuosity, richness, a beautiful finesse of the grain and precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied lemon, juicy/pulpy flat peach, small notes of candied quince associated with small touches of crushed green apple, quenette, zests as well as subtle hints of juicy/crunchy Mirabelle and very fine hints of honey and caramelization. Good length and persistence.
