On the palate, fruity, discreetly tight and offers freshness, concentration, some density as well as freshness, good tannic structure and tension. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, tart wild blackcurrant and more lightly tart/fresh red berries with a touch of crisp plum, fresh flowers and fine tonka bean, cardamom, pepper, limestone, a subtle hint of sweet blond tobacco (in the background) and hazelnut. Good length. The tannins are structuring and finely marked. |
