Château La Verrière – La vigne et l’oiseau 2021 – Bordeaux

The nose is fruity, elegant and reveals a fine richness, good definition and a fine, almost airy quality. There are notes of fleshy vine peach, bright quenette and more slightly passion fruit combined with fine hints of crushed fruit as well as a subtle hint of floral, imperceptible hint of vanilla flowers and saltiness. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a juicy/pulpy structure, good definition, fine tension, straightness, acidity and volume. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy apple, lychee and more lightly passion fruit combined with a touch of crushed mirabelle plum as well as a subtle hint of juicy/pulpy kumquat, a subtle hint of citrus/citrus blossom, vanilla, chestnut butter (in the background). Good length.
