Château La Valière 2014 – Médoc – Cru Bourgeois

Château La Valière 2014 – Médoc – Cru Bourgeois

The nose is powerful, fruity, racy and spicy. It reveals notes of Boysenberry and spices associated with hints of gray pepper, red fruits (strawberry…), undergrowth as well as a discreet touch of licorice and tea. The palate is fruity, mineral, silky, a bit aerial, well-balanced, a bit fleshy and offers a good density, a small tension, fat and a good structure. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy Boysenberry, cherry, raspberry and hints of cassis, crushed strawberry associated with slight notes of spices, gray pepper as well as a hint of oak, grilled oak/cacao, zan and a discreet hint of green bell pepper. Tannins are fine and a bit dry. Good length and persistence.
