Château La Tour Figeac 2021 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity and reveals a certain linearity, precision and a fine stretch. There are notes of fresh/sparkling raspberry, pulpy/sparkling redcurrant and more lightly blackcurrant combined with hints of violet, star anise and a subtle hint of fresh sweet spice/vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced and reveals freshness, minerality, acidity, juiciness, good definition, a certain gourmandize and tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright raspberry and more slightly pulpy/acidic red currant combined with fine touches of blackcurrant, fine notes of lily, star anise, a subtle hint of serenity as well as discreet hints of chocolate and vanilla. The tannins are fine and mellow. Good length. Harmony and gourmandize. An imperceptible hint of pepper on the finish.
