Château La Tour de Ségur 2021 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity and reveals a fine spicy/peppery edge. There are notes of boysenberry, crushed blueberry and more lightly crushed strawberry combined with fine hints of liquorice and a subtle hint of sweet blond tobacco. The palate is fresh, fruity and reveals gourmandize, lovely fresh/crunchy fruit, tension and energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy cherry, fresh/sparkling blueberry and more lightly red currant combined with a fine touch of blackcurrant as well as hints of vanilla, light tobacco and a discreet touch of zan. A very discreet hint of varietal in the background. The tannins are sapid. Positive bitterness. Good length.
