Château La Tour de Mons 2017 – Margaux

The nose is aromatic, racy and offers concentration, a small power as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of cassis, ripe black cherry and ripe/freshly strawberry associated with touches of redcurrant jam, liquorice as well as subtle hints of spices. The palate is fruity and offers a small juiciness, a beautiful grain, suavity, a fine unctuosity, tension, a fine freshness as well as a fine racy minerality (in the background). On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe black cherry, crushed raspberry, crushed blackberry and more slightly fleshy cherry associated with fine/discreet touches of blueberry, a very discreet touch of cornflower as well as small hints of caramelization, liquorice, sweet spices and almond. Tannins are fine and supple. Good length.
