Château La Tour Blanche, 1er Cru Classé en 1855, 2021 – Sauternes

The wine has a lemon yellow color, with golden highlights, of medium intensity. The nose is fresh and concentrated. It expresses notes of sweet stone fruits (very ripe yellow peach, peach in syrup, roasted apricot), candied citrus fruits (candied orange, candied citron, candied lemon), a touch of fresh citrus fruits (lemon, orange), pineapple, flower honey, linden blossom infusion and acacia flowers, as well as fine woody notes of vanilla, caramel and toasted brioche. On the palate, the wine is concentrated, with an oily and rich texture, balanced by a good level of acidity. We find notes of candied citrus fruits (candied orange, candied lemon), peach in syrup, roasted apricot, sweet pineapple, as well as acacia, flower honey (with a fine hint of honey bee’s wax), toasted brioche, caramel and vanilla. Beautiful length, which offers freshness and tangy exotic fruit notes (passion fruit, crunchy pineapple). Richness balanced by a beautiful acidity and freshness.
