Château La Thébaïde, Gigondas 2020

Château La Thébaïde, Gigondas 2020

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is rather aromatic but slightly reserved. It expresses aromas of black fruits (fresh blackcurrant, blackberry, morello cherry, black plum), red fruits (red cherry, strawberry), as well as smoky, peppery, floral and herbaceous notes in the background (dried rose petals, dried violet, oregano, dried mint). On the palate, the attack is on tangy fresh red and black fruits (bigarreau cherry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry, cranberries) and dryness of young, firm and slightly rough tannins. In the mid-palate, we feel the juiciness of blackberry and black plum, as well as the freshness of mint and liquorice. The finish is on concentrated black fruits, with a high level of acidity, which makes your mouth water and softens the tannins of the wine.
