Château La Rousselle 2018 – Fronsac

Château La Rousselle 2018 – Fronsac

The nose is fruity, elegant, gourmand and offers a small justly built richness as well as a small complexity. It reveals notes of bright Boysen berry, bright cassis, small notes of wild strawberry associated with touches of bright blueberry, cornflower, lilac as well as fine hints of small blue fruits, caramelization, pencil lead, bourbon vanilla pod, discreet hints of sweet spices, brioche and sense of the place. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, beautifully built, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, grain, a small unctuosity, a fine acidulous frame as well as suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis cream, fleshy/crushed blackberry, small notes of blueberry associated with a touch of wild strawberry as well as small hints of cornflower, lilac, tonka bean, bourbon vanilla pod, a very fine hint of vanilla, graphite/pencil leaf and an imperceptible hint of verbena (in the background). Tannins are elegant and racy. A fine power on the persistence.
