Château La Rose Poncet – Mon Ange 2018 – Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is aromatic, racy and offers a small freshness, a fine concentration as well as a fine grain. It reveals notes of Boysenberry, violet, lily and notes of wild red berries associated with a touch of cassis leaf, Sichuan pepper, sweet spices as well as a very discreet hint of blond tobacco and green cardamom. The palate is mineral, fruity, well-balanced and offers fat, gourmandize, dynamism, a certain energy as well as a small tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy cassis, creamy blackberry and small notes of fleshy / juicy wild strawberry associated with touches of wild small fruits, lilies, lilacs, varietals as well as hints of tonka bean, of green cardamom, zan and a very discreet hint of crushed / caramelized hazelnut. A fine and good bitterness on the finish / persistence.
