Château La Roque de By 2016 – Médoc

The nose is fruity, well-built, very discreetly tight and offers a very fine power. It reveals notes of blackberry, black pepper and small notes of fresh raspberry associated with small touches of cassis, red fruits, flowers (violet, rose) as well as discreet hints of zan and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a small freshness, a small minerality, gourmandize, elegance as well as a fine dynamism. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, crunchy raspberry, crunchy strawberry and small notes of small juicy/crushed black berries associated with small touches of zan, flowers as well as discreet hints of spices. Tannins are well-built, very discreetly firm and elegant. There is a hint of coffee on the persistence.
