The nose is spicy. There are notes of crushed wild blackberry, spices and more slightly cloves combined with touches of sweet spices and a hint of pepper. The palate is taut, acidic and offers a beautiful freshness that carries. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, creamy blackcurrant and more slightly star anise combined with hints of blueberry, blue berries as well as hints of cherry, balsamic and a subtle hint of bay leaf. The palate is balanced, acidic and offers a nice, persistent freshness.
