Château La Marzelle 2014 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is aromatic, gourmand, full, rich and elegant. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crème de cassis and crushed strawberry associated with touches of crushed ripe cherry, chocolate as well as a discreet hint of caramelization, flowers as well as an imperceptible hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, fine, mineral, elegant and offers tension, straightness, juiciness, gourmandise, a good definition, deepness as well as fat. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy raspberry, juicy redcurrant and crème de cassis associated with a hint of plum as well as touches of chocolate, sweet spicesa nd a slight hint of caramelization (in the background). Tannins are fine, firm and tight. There is a discreet hint of hazelnut on the aftertaste.
