Château La Grave-Figeac 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is racy and offers a certain power, a fine texture, a certain intensity as well as a fine airy touch in the approach. It reveals notes of wild cassis, blackberry and more slightly wild raspberry associated with touches of gray pepper, cardamom and a subtle hint of cloves. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, minerality, a juicy / tangy frame, good definition, freshness as well as a fine roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, juicy/fresh cassis and more slightly violet associated with touches of cornflower, fleshy strawberry as well as fine hints of licorice, pepper, with a hint of toasted almond with a very discreet touch of good bitterness (in the background). Good length. Presence of a subtle chewiness on the finish / persistence.
