Château La Grave 2017 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, a bit restrained and offers freshness. It reveals notes of raspberries, fleshy strawberries and blue / blueberry fruits associated with slight touches of cassis, lily, liquorice and very discreet hints of vanilla. The mouth is fresh, fruity, well-balanced, precise and offers a good definition, a fine mineral frame, a fine acidity, suavity, a good structure, a beautiful finesse as well as a small straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of raspberry, blackberry, small fleshy red berries and small notes of blue fruit associated with fine touches of lily as well as fine / discreet hints of almonds, toasted and an imperceptible hint of Cuben pepper. Tannins are fine and very slightly powdered. Very fine chews on the finish. There is a hint of almond on the persistence. Good persistence.
