Château La Garricq 2014 – Moulis-en-Médoc – Cru Bourgeois

The nose is aromatic, quite powerful, racy, quite elegant and harmonious. It reveals notes of cassis jam, boysenberry and slight notes of black cherry associated with a hint of plum, crushed raspberry and slight notes of cherry, gray pepper, licorice stick as well as discreet hints of Ceylan tea, grilled oak and expresso. A discreet hint of flowers appears after aeration. The palate is fruity, fine, sleek, silky, quite elegant and offers a racy minerality, tension, elegance, a slight righteousness, a certain complexity as well as deepness. Nice harmony and gourmandize! In mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, plum juice and black cherry associated with slight notes of licorice, tobacco, cacao and hints of grilled oak. Tannins are fine, elegant and offer already nicely supple. Good length. A racy and straight wine.
