The nose is beautifully elegant, complex, it offers depth, aromatic intensity, a lovely infusion side and energy. It reveals notes of blueberry, concentrated cassis and small notes of violet, associated with touches of small wild fruits, wild pepper from the Ile de Ré, as well as a subtle hint of peony, camphor and toasted. The palate is well-built, fresh, mineral, with suppleness, gourmandise, precision and roundness in the freshness. There’s a certain depth of fruit, a little elegant austerity and fleshy fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy/pulpy blackberry, small black fruits and small notes of black plum, combined with touches of small red fruits flirting with roast-elegant, camphor, mocha, as well as fine hints of tobacco, bergamot, wild pepper from the Ile de Ré, and a hint of racy minerality. Good length. Supple, elegant, racy tannins. A certain unctuosity of freshness and a depth of darkness on the palate. Good cocoa persistence.
