Château La Fleur de Boüard 2017 – Lalande-de-Pomerol

The nose is fruity, fresh, gourmand and offers unctuosity. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crushed strawberry and small notes of crushed red berries combined with touches of liquorice, ripe berries, chocolate, sweet spices as well as very slight touches of cardamom, gray pepper and an imperceptible hint of flowers in the background. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful acid frame, tension, a racy minerality as well as finesse. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh raspberry, juicy red berries associated with small touches of blackberry, discreet touches of fresh flowers as well as slight touches of cardamom, slight toasted touches, a very slight touch of crushed almond (in the background) and a very discreet hint of gray pepper (in the background). Tannins are fine and very slightly firm. Good length. There is a touch of vanilla on the persistence.
