Château La Fleur 2020 – Pomerol

Château La Fleur 2020 – Pomerol

It is a pretty elegant, delicate, precise nose with a nice depth and a racy density. There is a nice little powdery side with notes of morello cherries, pulpy blue berries and small notes of violet associated with touches of incense and lily. There is almost a discreet pistil notes with hints of cherry blossom and a discreet note of Madagascar pepper, saffron in the background and fresh bergamot. The fresh, elegant, mineral palate with delicacy and silkiness. There is a discreet tightiness, a relative lightness in the richness, concentration and density in finesse. We find a nice work on the good bitters with notes of roasted cherries, blueberries, small acidic fresh blue fruits and slight notes of cardamom, tonka bean, almost incense, cocoa as well as fine hints of small fruits, quite ripe but fresh, and a hint of rose. This wine has a subtle chewiness and a mellow end in the back of the mouth with gourmandise and an iodised or even saline notes as well as a subtle noble varietal hint which reinforces the dynamics and the freshness. Suppleness and elegance accompany persistent notes of cornflower and gravel in the background. Nice gravely and cocoa character.
