Château La Couspaude 2021 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

Château La Couspaude 2021 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, nicely racy, precise, fresh and reveals a nice definition and brightness/freshness of fruit. There are notes of pulpy boysenberry, raspberry and more lightly violet combined with hints of bright raspberry and fine points of racy/almost iodine minerality. The palate is fruity, vibrant, balanced and offers freshness, minerality, energy, some crystalline quality, purity, a fine airiness in the approach. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh blackcurrant, tart raspberry and more lightly red currant notes combined with a touch of violet, racy minerality, a small hint of fresh violet as well as discreet hints of fresh blond tobacco, a subtle hint of bergamot, spice and an imperceptible hint of fresh sage. A good job of the right bitterness. Good length. The tannins are elegant, finely chalky and well managed.
