Château La Conseillante 2018 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, racy, elegant and offers a beautiful precision as well as a beautiful freshness. It reveals notes of blackberry, fleshy/ripe cassis and small notes of fresh red fruits associated with touches of graphite, violet/fresh flowers, fmeshy blue fruits, fine hints of tonka bean, sweet spices as well as a very discreet hint of nutmeg, tea and cardamom. The palate is fruity, juicy, fresh, mineral and offers a beautiful juicy/fresh frame, a good definition, power, a good precision, a beautiful fine grain, a good structure, peps, complexity, suavity, a beautiful fleshy juicy/fresh fruit, tension, sapidity as well as a beautiful harmony. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/crunchy blackberry, small notes of juicy cassis and touches of crunchy/fresh red fruits (raspberry,red berries) associated with hints of flowers (violet, cornflower, lily… beautiful floral selection !), discreet hints of dark chocolate, toasted, vanilla as well as an imperceptible hint of liquorice, caramelization and spices (in the background). Tannins are finely firm, structuring, beautifully built and elegant. The finish is very finely grainy. Fine chew on the finish. Good length and good persistence.
