Château La Commanderie 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fresh and offers a certain intensity as well as race (marked by the clays). We find notes of boysenberry, wild blackcurrant and slight notes of pepper associated with touches of small crushed blue fruits as well as hints of nutmeg, a subtle hint of fresh saffron (on its floral side). The palate is fruity, balanced and offers minerality, freshness, a little tension, accuracy as well as suppleness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/juicy raspberry and small notes of small pulpy/fresh blue fruits associated with touches of tonka bean, fresh sap, fine hints of blueberry, chocolate as well as well as a subtle hint of saffron (on its floral side) and toasted hazelnut. Good length.
