The nose is finely grained and powerful. There are notes of pulpy raspberry, violet and more lightly lily combined with touches of grey pepper, pulpy wild red berries and a discreet hint of varietal aromas (in the background). The palate offers minerality, freshness, good definition, a certain juiciness, and a mineral spine. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, raspberry and more lightly of pulpy red berries combined with touches of fresh lilac, mulberry leaf as well as hints of fresh blond tobacco, a subtle hint of liquorice and a discreet touch of sweet spices. Good length. The tannins are mellow.
