Château La Claymore, Lussac Saint-Emilion

Château La Claymore, Lussac Saint-Emilion

On the nose fresh and finely restrained. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, ripe black berries and hints of violet associated with touches of fresh lilac, cherry blossom and fine points of sweet spices and a discreet hint of tobacco. On the palate it is fruity, tightly wound and offers juiciness, minerality, good definition, fine suavity and a little tension. The wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, fresh raspberry/blackberry and hints of small red berry notes associated with wafts of tobacco, fresh nutmeg, a discreet note of clove and saffron. The tannins are precise and relatively mellow. Good length.
