Château La Claymore 2018 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity and offers a fine gourmandize and a fine density/concentration. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of violet associated with a hint of iris, strawberry as well as fine hints of toastezd, sweet spices and a very discreet hint of nutmeg. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers precision, tension, straightness and a fine acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cassis, juicy/ripe small berries and small notes of juicy/ripe black cherry associated with a touch of crunchy wild raspberry, hints of liquorice stick, cocoa as well as very discreet hints of toasted and a subtle hint of vanilla (in the background). Good length. Tannins are well-built and precise.
