The nose is aromatic and offers a slight gourmandise as well as a slight elegance. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry and cassis associated with slight notes of strawberry, ripe red cherry as well as hints of toasted oak as well as a very discreet hint of licorice and gray pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a slight minerality, juiciness, fat, a certain straightness, tension as well as an acid frame. In the mouth this wine expresses noets of fresh strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant and touches of crushed blackberry associated with a discreet hint of cassis, toasted oak/caramelized oak as well as an imperceptible hint of mocha (in the background) and a subtle hint of vanilla (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length and persistence. There is a slight hint of minerality almost saline on the finish.
