Château La Cabane 2018 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, elegant, racy and offers a beautiful definition, a fine complexity as well as a very fine richness/fleshiness. It reveals notes of pulpy raspberry, bright strawberry and small notes of lilac, fleshy cassis associated with fine touches of blueberry, zan, cuben pepper, spices as well as a very discreet hint of tobacco and an imperceptible hint of cinnamon. The palate is suave, elegant and offers delicacy, gourmandize, a fine unctuosity, an aerial side as well as a beautiful balance and a fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cassis, pulpy/juicy blue plum, small notes of strawberry associated with touches of lilac, peony, cornflower as well as hints of chocolate, toasted, vanilla, a subtle hint of caramelization, an imperceptible hint of coffee and orange zests. Fine hints of ripe/crushed almond on the persistence. Tannins are finely chewy. A persistence on notes of cocoa (good bitterness) and hazelnut.
