Château la Bridane 2020 – Saint-Julien

The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is fragrant, warm, spicy and offers concentration and depth, as well as freshness. It expresses notes of fresh blackcurrant, crème de cassis, juicy morello cherry, wild strawberry, bigarreau cherry and blueberry jam. We also find a lot of spices, harmoniously integrated into the fruity bouquet: vanilla, cinnamon, licorice, cloves, grated nutmeg, a delicate touch of aromatic herbs (bouquet garni – thyme, bay leaf and rosemary, as well as wild mint) and flowers (cornflower, violet, dried rose petals). On the palate, the wine offers a generous and fresh fruitiness, which envelops straightness and a firm structure of tannins. The attack is juicy, with lots of fresh fruit (griotte, wild strawberry, red cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry), an elegant spiciness (cloves, grilled vanilla, licorice) and floral bouquet (violet, dried rose petals), as well as a fresh herbaceous hint in the background. Beautiful acidity and a persistent and complex finish, which adds notes of dark chocolate and sweet coffee to the bouquet. A complex, deep wine with good aging potential.
