Château La Brande, Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

Château La Brande, Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

On the nose, fruity, elegant and offers power (in delicacy), harmony and a melodious side. It reveals notes of pulpy/bursting blackberry, violet and more slightly bright blackcurrant combined with hints of fleshy strawberry as well as fine touches of pistil, fresh lily as well as fine notes of graphite, cardamom, discreet tips of vanilla and Voatsiperifery pepper. On the palate, fruity, elegant and offers delicacy, richness (in finesse), subtlety, gourmandise, creaminess (in control). The wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, creamy blackcurrant and slightly fresh blueberry combined with hints of fresh/crunchy strawberry as well as touches of lilac, blueberry, star anise as well as fine hints of caramelization, chocolate, a subtle waft of bourbon vanilla and an imperceptible hint of eucalyptus (which adds freshness and pep) at the end. Good length. The tannins are precise and finely mellow. The best La Brande tasted!
