Château La Brande 2020 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity, racy, elegant and offers some depth and fine grain. There are notes of ripe blackcurrant, ripe/chunky black berries and more slightly strawberry combined with a fine touch of blue berries, nutmeg, graphite and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is nicely fruity, elegant, juicy, airy and offers a nice definition, gourmandise, purity, a certain richness in elegance, precision, accuracy, a little unctuousness and sapidity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy wild strawberry, fleshy/juicy blackcurrant and, more slightly, fleshy/acidic berries combined with hints of toast, tonka bean, toasted almond and graphite. Soft tannins. Good persistence. An airy, light and delicate wine.
