The nose is fresh, fruity, racy and reveals some power. There are notes of ripe wild blackcurrant, pulpy blue berries and, to a lesser extent, fleshy strawberry, combined with hints of liquorice and fine camphor, pepper and vanilla. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, juiciness, a finely acidic backbone, roundness, volume and a fine linear side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackcurrant, pulpy cherry and more slightly tart/pulpy blackberry combined with hints of fresh lily, fresh blueberry as well as fine hints of liquorice, chocolate and a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut. Good length. The tannins are smooth and sapid.
