Château Kirwan 2010 – Margaux, Cru Classé

Château Kirwan 2010 – Margaux, Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers gourmandize, a certain richness, concentration (but full of control). This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of pulpy Boysen berry, ripe raspberry and small notes of ripe/fleshy cassis associated with touches of small juicy fruits, violet, sweet spices as well as fine hints of underwood, a discreet hint of truffle, hazelnut, incense and a subtle hint of tobacco. The palate is fruity, racy, well-balanced and offers freshness, a juicy/acidulous frame, a good definition, minerality as well as precision and a fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cassis, juicy/bright blackberry associated with touches of strawberry, cherry as well as fine hints of small juicy/fresh berries as well as hints of tonka bean, underwood, spices, a discreet hint of cardamom and nutmeg. Very fine hints of roasted, cocoa pod, toasted hazelnut on the finish/persistence. Good length. A very beautiful freshness !
