Château Joanin Bécot 2020 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

Château Joanin Bécot 2020 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity, fresh, elegant and offers a nice concentration of finesse, depth, a nice little varietal/infused side (in the background) as well as a nice elegant, powerful and racy grain. There are notes of fresh wild blackcurrant, pulpy boysenberry and more slightly Cuben pepper combined with hints of fairly ripe raspberry and almost herbal and grey pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, tension, accuracy, just the right amount of concentration, fine grain and just the right amount of tension. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, violet and more slightly tart/pulpy violet plum notes combined with hints of nutmeg, fresh/crunchy red berries, fresh pepper as well as fine cardamom and almost herbal hints. Lovely soft, elegant and very discreetly mellow tannins. Beautiful freshness, accuracy, purity, gourmandise and depth. A discrete infused side on the palate.
