The nose is fruity, aromatic and relatively concentrated. It includes black cherry and plum jam notes associated with slight notes of zan as well as touches of tobacco and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, relatively fleshy and offers minerality, tension, a nice texture as well as a nice, silky and a bit unctuous matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry jam, cassis and slight notes of black cherry associated with touches of licorice, toasted oak as well as slight notes of sweet spices and a hint of hazelnut on finish. Tannins are fine, elegant and slightly firm. Good length and nice aromatic persistence with notes of hazelnut / almond and a touch of vanilla. The finish is relatively suave.
