Château Haut-Maurac 2021 – Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The nose offers elegance, concentration and a fine spiciness. There are notes of pulpy blackcurrant, fleshy boysenberry and more slightly fleshy/juicy cherry combined with hints of violet, lily, pepper and fine black tea and sweet spices. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, acidity, pulpiness, freshness and flesh. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cherry, crushed/acidulated currant and more lightly fresh lily combined with hints of blackberry ditto as well as fine points of cuben pepper, zan and a subtle hint of bergamot. The tannins are light and mellow. A subtle hint of toasted hazelnut in the background.
