Château Haut-Maurac 2019 – Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The nose is fruity and offers crunchiness, freshness and coating quality. There are notes of fresh wild blackberry, fresh red berries and more slightly fresh violet combined with fine points of fresh cherry as well as a discreet hint of lily and a subtle almost black tea. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, a certain gourmandise and juicy/crunchy fruit while retaining a certain crunch of red berries. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/juicy raspberry, juicy/fresh cherry and more slightly fresh lily combined with hints of fresh violet, blackberry as well as fine hints of liquorice, discreet toasty hints and a subtle hint of chocolate. The tannins are well-managed.
