The nose is fruity and reveals a nice grain, good definition, some density, a fine freshness and a little stretch. There are notes of dense boysenberry, crushed strawberry and, more slightly, crushed blue berries, combined with hints of liquorice, fine camphor, caramelisation and a subtle hint of toastiness and smoke. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, energy, a very good acidity and a good work on the bitters. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, juicy/sparkling cherry and, more slightly, fresh blueberry, combined with delicate nuances of lily blossom, nutmeg, fine hints of fresh tobacco, racy minerality and a subtle hint of bourbon vanilla. Good length. The tannins are precise and tight.
