Château Haut-Bergeron 2021 – Sauternes

Château Haut-Bergeron 2021 – Sauternes

The nose is fresh and offers elegance, a certain complexity and concentration. There are notes of pineapple, candied kumquat and, to a lesser extent, candied tangerine, combined with hints of white flowers, a subtle hint of honey, a subtle hint of roast, and a very discreet hint of spice, dried almond and sweet spices. The palate is fresh (nice freshness), fruity and reveals minerality, good definition, an airy quality in its balance, suppleness and finesse in its volume and unctuosity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of roasted pineapple, apple in syrup and, more slightly, vine peach in syrup, combined with a touch of apricot, hints of quince, as well as fine hints of pastry, honey, a subtle hint of vanilla and an imperceptible hint of toasted/caramelised hazelnut in the background. Good length.
